  • My cats are not at all interested in this thing, no matter how much I try! I wish I had not bought it.

  • I have four cats and they all found the little tassel at the top more interesting than the mouse on the bottom. I had to crazyglue it in place because they kept taking it off and running around the house with it. The pendulum motion is not balanced so it will not continue to move if you don’t move it. They quickly removed the tail on the mouse making it less interesting to them. Occasionally, our siamese, former feral cat, will smack at the tassel on top but it doesn’t sustain her interest. I have put catnip at the base and they paw it out and eat it. This toy really looks fine to me but the cats aren’t very interested. The puzzle box made by the same company is still a big hit and they’ve had it over one year now.

  • My cat seems to like this toy, however the little mouse that is supposed to swing back and forth, rubs on the wood to much and doesn’t swing very well.

For Splinter’s one year birthday, she was lucky enough to receive a SmartCat Tick Tock Teaser. It can be hit or miss with cats and their toys, but right after removing the wrapping, she started to chew on the swivel stick, bat the little streamers, and reach into the holes and bottom slot area to get the mouse inside.

I like that you can replace the mouse with a different velcro-attached toy. It’s nice not only when the mouse eventually gets chewed up, but it also rewards the cat if they pull hard enough to remove the prey.

The toy actually allows the cat to play on their own when you’re too tired, if you’re cooking, or if you’ve had too much to drink and really just want to lay on the sofa and watch TV.

The orange cat pictured playing with the toy his hilarious! Look at his big pads and that worried look in his face!

  • My cat is extremely picky with toys, but he LOVES this thing. I put treats in the bottom sometimes, too. He’s always confused because when he chews on the top, the mouse moves, and when he plays with the mouse, the tassle moves. Keeps him busy. :)
