So, Old Blue was moping around the stables the other day. I couldn’t figure what was wrong. We checked for ticks, gave him a dewormer pill and tried to get him to chew on the cat for awhile. But nothing seemed to turn his mood around.
Then it occured to me! Blue was upset by the inaction of world leaders at the recent Copenhagen Conference on Climate Change. He probably snuck off the farm and went to see that new Avatar movie and realized that he just wasn’t communing with nature the way he should be.
So, instead of feeding him the usual Alpo with all those pesticides and stuff, we thought we’d trot out the Newman’s Own Organic Adult Dog Food! I mean, when the name Paul Newman is mentioned, one immediately thinks “organic,” “dog,” “food,” and “own.” So, we put this in Blue’s dish and he walked around in circles a few times, took a whiff and then started to growl something fierce. He even bit me in the leg! Stupid dog!! Maybe he is trying to tell me that he wants to go totally vegan. Guess I will have to stop at the Food Co-op on G to see if they got anything like that. If anything, I can get him some organic arugala. I bet he would much rather have that then the left over t-bone I had for dinner.
As for what to do with the uneaten nuggets, I know that grandma is dreading the cuts in Medicare and the lack of COLA increase in Social Security this year. I bet she’ll be happy to finish off the bag.

I rotate between Newmans, Nature Balance, and Ceasar Milans organic dog food. My dog eat’s all three so can’t say which is better. My main reason to purchase this brand (or any Newman product) is for the charity the profits goes to. My way of supporting companies that give back.

I signed up for the monthly subscription for this item. The price is great especially without having to pay shipping charges. We only feed our dog dry food, and it has to be good dog food. Newman brands are high quality, and I can get it delivered on a periodic basis and a fixed price thru Amazon. Ginger likes it and it keeps her healthy.

I’ve always given my dog what I thought was high quality dog food since she was a puppy. After the pet food issues of a few years ago I switched to only organic dog food for her. Since she is only 10 lbs the price difference isn’t too bad. I am a free feeder which isn’t ideal but means my dog basically has access to food any time she wants it. Because of this she only gets really excited when “people” food is offered to her. Well when I open this bag she comes over and eats asap. Good enough for me!
