…such product as frontline or similar brand. There is an abandoned female cat at our apartment bldg and I want to take care of it till the babies are old enough to give away then get her spayed. Okay. I finally managed to get a tick off of the back of my cats neck. He has a red bump with a little hole (where the tick was). I put a small amount of neosporin on the area as best I could (I didnt have any alcohol). We’ll probably take him to the vet just in case but what do I do now? Am I good? I am seriously considering relocating 2 feral cats to my backyard (their current habitat is being destroyed by new construction). Of course we will provide proper vet care, food, water, and shelter. But I am very concerned that the food water and shelter we provide will attract MORE cats (which we will not be able to care for – plus I don’t want to tick off the neighbors). Is this a valid concern? I sometimes see cats roaming our neighborhood, but I am pretty sure they are domesticated pets. I felt a small lump under my cats fur (at the base of his front leg) when i looked there was a round black dot on the surface. When i felt the lump on him he didnt seem to at all phased or in pain so i got the tweezers and removed the ‘dot’ but my cat still has a small lump there under his skin. Is this normal from a tick? And yes, i will take him along to th vet if it gets worse or he is in pain. |
